  1. Can you explain tournament fees?
    Half Moon Bay Golf Links establishes green fees for the various Men's Club member categories. The Club does not add an additional tournament fee, we simply pass on the green fee in effect at the time.  For events that include food/drink, an additional entry fee is added to the green fee.  Men's Club tournament fees apply to Men's Club events only.  Green fees are adjusted annually on April 1.
  2. What are the member tournament fee categories?

    he member categories are established by Half Moon Bay Golf Links with the key criteria based on your primary home address.  The categories are:
    Ocean Colony Annuals (OCA) - Primary address in Ocean Colony along with payment of substantial annual registration fee.
    Half Moon Bay Resident (HMB) - Primary address in zip code 94019
    Employee (EMP) - Current employee of Half Moon Bay Golf Links
    All Other (OTH) - Primary address outside zip code 94019. Half Moon Bay Resident fee plus a City mandated 6% tax.
  3. What are the current tournament green fees?

  4. I'm a Legends Club member.  Do I get points for Men's Club tournament fees?
    Yes.
  5. What systems are we using for our website?
    Member Planet and Golf Genius.  Members navigate these tools through a single website interface

  6. Is there a Smartphone application I can use?
    Yes, there is a mobile app that allows you to view and register for upcoming events. That's all it does. Only using the mobile app means you are missing 90% of the website content.  For results, tee sheets, player stats, and Leaderboard, you need to use the website.
    The mobile app is available for both Android and Apple devices.
    Go to Google Play or the Apple App stores and search for Member Planet to download to your Smartphone.
    If you are a member of more than one Member Planet based club, you will see upcoming events from all of the Clubs in the "Feed".  We are automatically enrolled in the NCGA, so by default any events they want us to see will be visible.
    To view only HMB Men's Golf Club upcoming events, select "Half Moon Bay Men's" at the top of the page and then select "Events".
  7. Do I always need to login to the website?
    You do not need to Login to view most content. Login is required to register and pay for an upcoming tournament and to view member information and private Club information.  The private area of the website is called DASHBOARD.
  8. How do I edit my Profile?
    Login to the Club website by clicking Member Login on the home screen.  This presents the DASHBOARD.
    Your personal profile update, picture, and privacy settings are available by clicking the square symbol in the upper right of your profile.
  9. Is there a Member Directory?
    The DASHBOARD includes a complete, searchable Member directory with a private email link for members to send each other email.  Also, you can view events members are signed up for.
  10. Where are Club documents?
    The DASHBOARD includes a Club Library tab.  Document categories include; Club By-Laws, Quarterly Minutes, Membership, Rules & Handicap, past Leaderboards and more.  Click on the link!
  11. What about signing up for a Tournament?
    Click the Tournament tab for a complete listing of available tournaments. As a general rule, tournament sign-up begins 30 days in advance of the tournament date.  The tournament listing will show "Login to RSVP" for events open for sign-up.  It will show the RSVP Open date for events not yet open.  If a tournament sells out, RSVP's close automatically. 
    To sign-up, click the event for a complete description and then click Yes and Login to continue.
    For all partner events, get your team together first!  There will be a specific input field to enter your partners names.
    Enter credit card information as requested.
    Email the Tournament Director only as a last resort.  You are making his job 10 times more difficult when you do this.
  12.  How do I cancel a tournament I've signed-up for?
    Cancellation requires just changing your status from Yes to No.  Click on the event, login and change your status.
    Our cancellation deadline for most events is 3 days in advance.  Only email or text the Tournament Director to cancel
    after the cancellation deadline.
  13. Cancellation policy?
    Members may cancel their participation in any tournament up to the cancellation deadline and receive a full refund.  Members who cancel after the cancellation deadline are responsible for any charges the Club incurs.  Members who fail to show for a tournament will forfeit the complete tournament fee.
  14.  What about Tournament Results?
    Go to the Tournaments tab and click on the Tee Sheets and Results button.
    Complete season, tournament, course, and player stats are available by clicking on the specific results header.
  15. What about tee sheets and pairings?
    Tee sheets and pairing are available after the Tournament Director defines them.  Usually this will be a few days in advance of the tournament.  Registered players will receive a notice that they are up for viewing.
    Click on the Tournaments tab and then click the Tee Sheets and Results button.
  16.  What about Senior Exchange events and Senior Majors sign-up?
    All members can view the Senior Exchange and Senior Major events, ONLY registered Seniors may sign-up.
    Exchange/Major events use exactly the same sign-up as regular Club events.
    Click on the Tournaments tab to view upcoming Senior events available for sign-up.
    Click on the Seniors tab to view the Home/Away annual schedule
  17. How do I sign-up for the Seniors Monday/Wednesday games?
    Click on the Seniors tab.
    Click on the Monday/Wednesday Sign-up button.
    Enter the Seniors GGID provided to you by the Senior Director.  (Contact Senior Director Steve Bennet if you have misplaced).
    Select your name from the drop-down list and then select one or more games you wish to attend.
    Cancelling attendance is the same process.
    Complete M/W Game results are available by clicking on the specific results header.
  18. I've got a friend who wants to join the Club.  What next?
    Great!  You can direct your friend to the Club website and they can view everything that's going on.  After that, they can just click the JOIN tab and be connected to our New Member application.  Instructions are on the application.
