FOUNDED 1973
The Half Moon Bay Men's Golf Club was established in 1973 with the opening of the Arnold Palmer designed Half Moon Bay Old Course. The Club is a regular NCGA club and offers NCGA membership along with GHIN handicapping. The Club is a registered non-profit organization run by volunteers. All fees collected are used for the benefit of its members.
Your dues pay for NCGA membership, NCGA entry fees for qualifying individuals and teams, tournament prize funds and trophies, and club sponsored food/drink at select events.
The Club does not charge an additional tournament fee for any of our tournaments; we simply pass on the green fee in effect at the time. For events which include food/drink, an additional entry fee is added to the green fee.
MEMBER BENEFITS
When you join, you become a member of the Northern California Golf Association and qualify for all of the benefits described under the NCGA Benefits page. Our Club conducts the following events:
Sixteen Annual Club Tournaments
- Monthly, Saturday morning Old Course Individual, Two-Man or Four-Man Tournaments
- The Bash Tournament, our season kick-off including special contests, tee prizes and awards banquet
- The Invitational, our Member-Guest Tournament, played over two days on the Old Course and the Ocean Course including special contests, tee prizes and awards banquet
- The Classic, our Member/Member Tournament including special contests, tee prizes and awards banquet
- Quarterly, Wednesday afternoon Club Tournaments followed by dinner and member meeting
- Club sponsorship for qualifiers into the NCGA

Membership in our Senior Section
- An additional 14 tournaments annually, played weekdays, jointly with many regional golf facilities
- Weekly Monday and Wednesday games with a season long points competition
- Four Senior Major tournaments
- Club sponsorship for qualifiers into the NCGA Senior Net Individual and NCGA Senior Four-Ball Championships
The greatest HMBMGC Membership benefits come in the form of newfound friends playing two world class golf facilities; the Arnold Palmer designed Old Course, past host site of numerous USGA local qualifiers and the Arthur Hills designed Ocean Course, past host to the LPGA Samsung tournament.
