Overview

The season long points race, inspired by the Senior’s and Legend’s Club points races, will continue for the 2026 season. In this format adapted for the Men’s Club general membership, at least fifteen general members will be rewarded with pro-
shop gift certificates or small prizes for their participation in Men’s Club events, depending on their final season-long accumulated points.

A “race-inside-a-race” will also continue for the Quarterlies with a separate Quarterly-Only prize pool. Points earned in a Quarterly tournament apply to the Quarterly race, General Member Race, and Seniors Race (if you belong to the Seniors). Points are awarded in-full to each race and are not divided among the races.

The more tournaments you play, the more points you earn. Points are awarded based on tournament format. Individual formats reward winners more points per place than two-man formats, and two-man formats earn more points per place than four-man
formats. Points are awarded to everyone who plays.

Important Notes, Rules, and Details for General Member and Quarterly Points Races

• Everyone in the HMB Men’s Club is considered a general member (GM) regardless of their status with the Senior’s division.

• Any GM can participate and win prizes in the General Member or Quarterly points races.

• Points will not be normalized or redistributed for less than full-field tournaments.

• The Senior’s tournament director may implement a conversion factor to distribute points earned in the Quarterly events to the Senior’s season-long points race.

• For the Invitational, points are awarded as an Individual Event to the participating Club member based on the two-day combined net member/guest final scoreboard standing

• GM or Quarterly points are not awarded for long drive, closest-to-the-pin, horserace, hole-in-one, parimutuel or other one-off competitions.

• GM points are not awarded for Twelve Man Match Play participation or Club post-qualifier rounds in club sponsored NCGA events (Fourball and Zone Qualifier)

• The Club reserves the right to award points for club sponsored tournaments currently not listed on the schedule.

• The Club acknowledges the GM and Quarterly points races may not be a perfect system and may modify points awards and payouts in future years, as necessary.

• In the event of a tie for a prize, the number of rounds played is the tie-breaker. If the tie is not broken with the number of rounds played, then the prizes are combined and split evenly among tied players.

• Bottom Line: Play more golf, earn points, and have fun!

Important Notes, Rules, and Details for General Member Points Race: Club Championship

• To emphasize the importance of the Club Championship, each flight will compete for full general member individual points.

• After the second day of stroke play, points are assigned to each flight for positions 5 to last place. Match play determines the points awarded per flight for positions 1 to 4.

• If a player places in the top 4 of his flight but cannot play in match play weekend, the player will be awarded 5th place points and the alternate will compete for 1-4 points awards.
